Our 2-Year Workmanship Guarantee

We back every project with a 2-Year Workmanship Guarantee covering defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of project completion.

Most restoration companies offer no written guarantee at all. When we say the job is done right, we put it in writing and stand behind it.

What the Guarantee Covers

Renovio guarantees all work performed by Renovio in accordance with a signed service agreement will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of project completion. This guarantee covers only work performed by Renovio within the agreed scope as documented in your signed service agreement and approved change orders.

What this means in plain language:

If something we repaired, rebuilt, or installed fails due to a defect in our work or the materials we used — within two years of project completion — we come back and make it right at no additional cost to you. That covers framing, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, windows, doors, plumbing fixtures, electrical finishes, paint, and trim that we installed as part of your restoration project.

What the Guarantee Does Not Cover:

This guarantee is comprehensive — but like every workmanship guarantee in the industry, it has defined limits. The following are not covered:

Condition of Warranty

Your payment in full of the contract price and all approved change orders is required before you can make a warranty claim. Renovio has no obligation to perform warranty work while any amounts remain unpaid. Once paid in full, Renovio will honor this guarantee for the remainder of the warranty period.

Limitation of Liability

Renovio's liability for any claim arising out of or relating to this contract — including breach of contract or negligence — shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by you to Renovio under this contract. This limitation does not apply to rights or remedies that may not be limited under applicable law, including the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act.

Consequential Damages Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive claims against Renovio for consequential or indirect damages arising out of or relating to this contract. This includes damages for rental expenses, loss of use, income, profit, financing, business and reputation, temporary housing costs, and all other consequential damages. This waiver applies to breach of contract, delay, disruption, termination, and warranty claims — but does not apply to Renovio's gross negligence, willful misconduct, or to rights that may not be waived under applicable law, including the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act.

Mold Remediation Warranty & Recurrence Limitation

Renovio warrants that mold remediation work will be completed in accordance with generally accepted industry standards and within the agreed scope of work. Renovio follows IICRC standards and documents every project with moisture readings, drying logs, and timestamped photographs. Because mold growth depends on the presence of moisture, Renovio does not guarantee that mold will not recur. This warranty applies only to mold recurrence directly caused by Renovio's failure to properly perform the remediation work. This warranty does not apply to mold growth or recurrence resulting from:

  • New or continuing sources of moisture — including roof leaks, plumbing leaks, window or façade leaks, flooding, humidity, condensation, or HVAC conditions
  • Structural, design, or building envelope conditions beyond Renovio's scope of work
  • Failure by the property owner to correct or maintain moisture sources identified during the remediation process
  • Water intrusion, storms, flooding, or other environmental events occurring after project completion
  • Alterations, repairs, or work performed by others after completion of Renovio's work

Notice of Claim

No claim is valid unless you provide Renovio with written notice of any claimed defect within 14 business days after the condition is discovered or reasonably should have been discovered. You must provide reasonable access to the property and a reasonable opportunity to inspect before any repair work is performed by you or third parties. Renovio is not responsible for corrective work performed by others unless Renovio was first provided reasonable notice and an opportunity to inspect and address the condition. You shall take reasonable steps to mitigate ongoing moisture or water intrusion conditions.

Insurance Coordination & Guarantee Limitation

Renovio is not an insurer and does not provide insurance coverage for the property. Renovio's workmanship guarantee is secondary to any applicable insurance coverage available to you. You agree to first pursue recovery from your insurance company for any condition covered by your homeowner's policy. Renovio is not responsible for costs covered or payable under your insurance policy, except to the extent such costs arise from defective workmanship performed by Renovio. You acknowledge that Renovio is not responsible for your insurance deductible, coverage limits, exclusions, depreciation, or any portion of a claim denied, excluded, or unpaid by your insurer.
